Saager Summan is a fourth-year undergraduate at UC Davis majoring in Psychology (B.S.). His research interests focus on how experiences like minority stress, discrimination, and social support can shape the mental and physical health of sexual and gender diverse adolescents and emerging adults. He is especially interested in how long-term stress can affect the body and contribute to health disparities, as well as how strong relationships and supportive communities can help protect overall well-being. Saager hopes to better understand the connection between social experiences, stress, and health and eventually apply that knowledge in medicine to provide more compassionate and equitable care. Outside of school and research, he enjoys hiking, longboarding, spending time with friends and family, watching TV, and staying active.
